While all those big name rappers release mixtape after mixtape, jump on every new artists' track and basically monopolizes the radio waves (talking to you, Drizzy and Weezy), Skyzoo cuts through all the bullshit and debuts his first studio album The Salvation while standing proudly on his own soapbox -- no collabos required.

As Sky pens his story over simple, eclectic beats, he takes us on a ride through pivotal moments throughout his life. The New Yorker rapper doesn't front trying to rhyme of his swagger or his Bed-Stuy roots, instead he raps his story without any fluff.

Skyzoo lays down his local rep on "Popularity" as he comes "Fresh out the box/I'm like Kane with a fifty." And just as quickly as he blows away the talentless, Sky goes right to the streets on "Marathon" back to his grind and not letting anyone get in his way to the top.

The Salvation is truly the soundtrack to Skyzoo's life as he hears it and as every base thumping rhymes flows out his system. 9th Wonder produced tracks "Under Pressure" and "Easy to Fly" steal the spotlight on Skyzoo's album -- the music overpowering Sky's dizzying flow. Rappers have never shown as much pure love toward their music as Skyzoo does, especially on "Necessary Evils." Sky's here to give himself and fan great music as he vents, "I ain't trying to get by/Trying to speed through." Skyzoo punches through the crowd of wackness in mainstream rap and makes way for his music on The Salvation -- delivering his own sermon to inner Hip-Hop circle.
