Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 - September 13, 1996)
September 13, 1996, the world lost one of the greatest rappers to ever grace the mic, Tupac Shakur. Gangster rap was at its height and the violence surrounding the lifestyle glorified in every manner. Tupac's death came six days after his still unsolved drive-by shooting and months later controversy sparked in the shooting death of Notorious B.I.G, Christopher Wallace. Today we remember what Tupac has given Hip-Hop: the words, the politics, the bravado. And given more time in this world, Tupac would have completely change the Hip-Hop game as we know it now.
